  • Malignant hyperthermia (very rare)

  • Muscular dystrophy

  • Rhabdomyolysis: breakdown of muscle tissue that leads to the release of muscle fiber contents into the blood 

  • Myositis: skelteal muscle inflammation

  • Skeletal muscle ischemia (oxygen deficiency)

  • Skeletal muscle trauma

  • Seizures

... but I would more especially commend the clinician who, in acute diseases, by which the bulk of mankind are cutoff, conducts the treatment better than others.
